Paul Salop, Marine Ecologist

Mr. Salop has an MS in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is currently serving as Assistant Project Manager for AMS in their work for Alameda County in managing the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program's storm water monitoring and watershed management efforts.

Mr. Salop offers technical and administrative assistance to the Alameda Creek Fisheries Restoration Workgroup in their efforts to restore a viable steelhead population to the Alameda Creek watershed.

Mr. Salop is actively involved in the Regional Monitoring Program for Trace Substances within the San Francisco Estuary. For this program, he performs field sampling for sediment, bioaccumulation, and episodic toxicity studies while assisting with results analysis. He has performed stream habitat surveys, bivalve condition index studies, taxonomic analysis, fishery studies, and ecological baseline surveys of beaches, intertidal areas, and subtidal sites in Washington, Oregon, and California.
