Environmental Services for Oil and Gas Industry
Applied Marine Sciences, Inc. (AMS) and its principals
and associates have been providing regulatory and environmental
support services to the oil & gas industry for the past 25 years.
These services are directed at Exploration & Production (E&P)
activities in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) regions of the United
States and various international locations.
As a result of AMS’ reputation for performing scientifically
rigorous and cost-effective studies and projects, AMS has managed
to work not only for national and state regulatory agencies who
oversee oil & gas leasing activities, but also for industry
as well. AMS’ professionals have studied highly complex “fate
& effects” relationships of E&P activities, conducted
faunal characterization baseline assessments, and provided regulatory
and permitting support in the US Outer Continental Shelf (Alaska,
California and the Gulf of Mexico), Russia, Kazakstan, the Middle
East (Dubai, Qatar), South America and the North Sea.
The professional training, experience and capabilities
of the personnel at AMS allows us to provide a full range of baseline,
ecological monitoring, regulatory permitting, due diligence and
impact assessment services to industry and regulatory agencies.
AMS has established cooperative working arrangements with environmental
consulting firms in many of the countries it works, to assist its
scientists in providing cost effective local personnel and expertise.
Our close working relationships with both sides of the industry
and our familiarity with highly contentious issues allows us to
provide a unique level of support and consultation to our clients.
