A.D. Little, Shelikof Straight
This U.S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service
study was designed to determine if deep water sediments and fish
tissues collected from depositional areas of the Shelikof Straight
and Outermost Cook Inlet areas Alaska in 1997 and 1998 were accumulating
contaminants from drilling activities originating in the Cook Inlet.
As a member of the project team assembled by the prime contractor,
A.D. Little, AMS personnel assisted in the development and assessment
of a literature review, provided study design input, conducted sediment
toxicity sample and fish tissue collection and analysis, tissue
contaminant load and bioassay data analysis, interpretation of results,
and report preparation. Mr. Jordan Gold was the field manager and
responsible scientist for fish tissue collections.
